About this deal

I watched many of Ivor's videos and just finished reading his new book, “Eat Rich, Live Long”. His and Jeff's book is the most impressive and valuable that I have seen in the field of health assessment and improvement because it not only explains what and when to eat, but the “why”, i.e., the mechanisms behind the great advantages of a low carb diet. As a scientist, I greatly appreciate that you delved so deeply into this topic. I bought multiple copies of your book to give to my Medical Doctor and my friends and family. I have never bought multiple copies of any book before; I think it is that good. And I didn't know much about things like what exactly are HDL & LDL cholesterol and what is insulin and how does it work. I have been on LCHF since reading Gary Taubes book, Why We Get Fat: And What To Do About It in Jan 2012.

For decades, Dr. Gerber has researched the science of carbohydrate and fat metabolism, insulin resistance, inflammation, and chronic metabolic disease. Jeff redefines healthy nutrition and teaches patients about the relationship between unhealthy refined and processed foods and chronic illness. He has used the science in his practice, hugely optimizing his patients’ health outcomes by helping his patients improve their health and optimize their weight with prescribed lifestyle modifications. If I only considered it's Lipoprotein particle or ApoB and weight maintenance sections I would give it one star. This book has changed all that for me. It presents the science behind this in a way that meets the needs of even sceptics like me. Simply and in enough detail to give an understanding of how all this incredibly complicated biochemistry works without making your eyes glaze over You can take control of your health, lose weight, prevent disease, and enjoy a long and healthy life. The unique nutritional program outlined in Eat Rich, Live Long is designed by experts to help you feel great while you eat delicious and satisfying foods. Also important calculations from a common lipid panel is to calculate non-HDLc <80 and remnants <35.

Full Book Name: Eat Rich, Live Long: Mastering the Low-Carb Keto Spectrum for Weight Loss and Longevity The general rule that has been followed for decades has been to allow the whole society to benefit from the good things ionizing radiation provides society by minimizing average excess radiation exposure to the general public. Higher radiation exposure is permitted for radiation workers, at the risk they will have a higher probability of getting cancer, and extra steps were to be taken to lower exposure to everyone else. That last part is violated by having higher numbers of people exposed to radiation that they need not be exposed to.This book is transformational, for me at least. Like anyone reading this I've read a lot of books on healthy eating etc and have changed my eating regime tohigher fat, lower carb natural foods. Only foods my grandmother would recognise. And I knew that Type 2 diabetes is a result of insulin resistance which tself is a result of eating badly and particularly eating high carb. Obesity and overweight are truly the resultant symptoms of chronic metabolic disease, ultimately caused by the many inflammatory foods in our diet. Blaming behavior (that we eat too much and exercise too little) for why we get fat is a short-sighted explanation, especially when considering our present day understanding of metabolism.” You can take control of your health, lose weight, prevent disease, and enjoy a long and healthy life. The advice to have a CAC, coronary artery calcium scan done to find your CAS Score. I have been a radiation worker for forty years, six years with nuclear reactors, and 34 years working on diagnostic imaging equipment, X-ray machines. X-rays are not harmless, the more people who receive more exposure than absolutely necessary the more people who may suffer health issues caused by the radiation exposure. I think this book provides excellent advice. I have that opinion because in one book it contains a summary and expansion on good, accurate, improved dietary advice and the history of why we have been given bad advice for so long based on flawed research, forceful personalities, and suppressed / ignored research that disagreed with the so-called "experts" that I have read about in many other books over the past couple of years. Books by; Gary Taubes, John Yudkin, Robert Lustig, Jason Fung, Nina Teicholz, Timothy Noakes, and several others. And this book mostly agrees with those books and condenses the information into one volume. Dr. Gerber’s book, Eat Rich, Live Long, on chronic disease, root causes and resolution strategies (co-authored with chemical engineer and data scientist Ivor Cummins) was released February 2018. From chapter 10 – There are two rules in Longevity Club. The first rule of Longevity Club is, respect your insulin. The second rule of Longevity Club is … respect your insulin.
