It's a beautiful poetry collection about life and how to navigate through it. Sometimes we're caught up in the midst of all the struggles and sadness of life that we forget to breathe. And on the days we forget to do as little as breathe, and when we need a nudge to keep pushing, poetry books like this, come in handy. I love that these poems spoke to me, the humanity of me, to remind me if I have forgotten that I am who I say I am. And not whom everybody wants me to be, or believe I am. Read more This book is giving you hope in the darkest of times and turning on even the tiniest light. And when I couldn't read farther I was so sad because I felt like something was stolen from me I love the book. I knew I would. Siân Thomas book central avenue publishing every word you cannot say iain thomas poems poetry Review Sian Thomas I know you don't want to talk sometimes. Sometimes because it hurts and sometimes because you're just not supposed to talk about what you want to talk about. Sometimes it can be hard to say, "this is beautiful," when no one else can see what you see. Or, "Here, this is where the pain is."

This book would make a great graduation gift. If adult life came with an instruction manual - this would be it. We are all seeking, we are all struggling, we are doing the best we can with what we have at any given moment. Bila anda ingin menjanjikan harapan yang indah, sementara kenyataan faktualnya tidak seperti itu, Thomas memberi anda tawaran seperti ini: I believe the best way to describe this one, is to say that it feels like a combination of self help books and mantras that aim at self-soothing. I know what I said sounds weird, but I don't know how to describe it in a more fitting way. I recognised the author through his previous writing that enticed me, but unfortunately, fell short to entertain me. Excited to have received an eADR from the publisher via Net Galley. Another beautiful addition to Thomas’ collection. This book is different than his “I Wrote This For You” books. It more closely resembles “How to be Happy: Not a Self-Help Book, Seriously.”I've said all I wanted to say, so I'll close out with one of my favourite passages from the collection:

I know you don't want to talk sometimes. Sometimes because it hurts and sometimes because you're just not supposed to talk about what you want to talk about. Sometimes it can be hard to say, "this is beautiful," when no one else can see what you see. Or, "Here, this is where the pain is." But some part of you knows, the truth about the words you cannot say is that they only hurt until you say them. They only hurt until the person who needs to hear them, hears them. Because we are human, and the closest we've ever come to showing each other who we really are, and how we love, is with words. So I'm going to try to say to you here, what I wish you'd say to me too. Please. I know that, once, someone touched your hand and you did not want them to pull their hand away, but they did and this made you sad. And for this reason, I also know that sometimes you smile even when there’s nothing to smile about.

This poetry collection is beautifully written. You can easily connect to the poems because they are relatable. It makes you question life in general. It's heartbreaking and meaningful at the same time. I absolutely loved this poetry collection! It’s written in such a beautiful way. You actually feel like they’re the words running through your head—in fact, I’m pretty sure they have sometimes! This is a definite must read for poetry lovers! 4.5* As a child, I would cry when someone took something away from me. When someone would say, “You have this. Now you no longer have this.” You think I have grown up. I have not. The collection is about not only learning to love yourself and the things you cannot change but also to forgive yourself. The latter being far more difficult in some circumstances. It's about reaching for kindness and trying to see the world through the eyes of others. This work seems to have a theme of finding yourself, accepting who you are, and not being afraid to open yourself to the world. Getting hurt is part of life, messing up is part of life, wanting to be alone at times is part of life; but so is being there when it's important, being brave even when you think you're not, trying again and again and again each day, and being open to all the joys and good the world holds.

Every Word You Cannot Say is a book that punches you hard. I first read on of Thomas' book, I Wrote This For You, during one of the darkest days of my life. It spoke to me on different levels. He did the same thing with this book. These are not just words -- these are stories that we see and feel every single day but we dare not speak of them.Kebaikan bukanlah mata uang, dan jika kamu memperlakukannya seperti itu, maka itu bukanlah kebaikan. Sepanjang hidupnya ia menerbitkan 10 buku dan 2 puisi pendek. Di antaranya “I Wrote This For You (2011)”, “25 Love Poems to NSA”, dan “Who You Were Before You Were You”. Karya-karyanya, termasuk Every Word You Cannot Say ini masuk dalam daftar eksklusif Barnes & Noble. There are days when everyone needs you to be strong, even if you're dying inside, and you can only cry when no one's looking because you're petrified of letting them down." First some thoughts, then a widely followed blog, then a successful book, I Wrote This For You is a phenomenon that has touched countless people around the world.
