Despite its size it is a remarkably easy tent to pitch. We came to the conclusion that the front A Frame should be put in place and pegged out then the two joint central poles should be put in followed by the remaining A Frames. It took us about 30-40 minutes on our first pitch and that was mostly tying the guys on. The space is phenomenal at 3m high across the ridge even your tallest guest will have acres of head room. This height gives the tent a greater useable interior space, I have not known a tent with as much. The groundsheet is heavy duty (although we prefer to put down an additional groundsheet underneath before pitching, especially on gravelly or stony ground). Rugs, lighting, low tables, cushions are a must to give it the bohemian vibe. It has an incredible nomadic feel.We where away for 4 days and I have to say she got an awful lot of attention from other campers and children who wanted to know if Harry Potter and Dobby where inside lol OMG she is a beast lol. To say she was heavy is an under statement, it took two of us to carry her to my front door ( I didn't have the heart to leave the poor delivery man to struggle on his own). My family and I simply love it and get stupidly excited before a camping trip knowing that we will be staying in our very own bourgeois Bedouin boudoir. Following our trip at the weekend to the Ripley tent exhibition, we are now in the throes of looking into purchasing a new camping abode. There are roof lights or windows in the bedroom section which have zip up blinds on them so if you don't want the sunlight coming in you can very easily close them. Also, above these windows we noticed a couple of ventilation panels that in the summer will help to keep the inside of the Lavvu cool and at other times, help to prevent condensation.

The vestibule area also has its own roll up zipped front door, so you can completely close the Lavvu when required. So in all, this tent has three sections to it, those being the vestibule, the inner living area and then the divided bedroom and if you want to add the space underneath the tarp, there are 4 sections in which to have a very versatile and enjoyable camping experience. Did we not mention the tarp? ……….. Manual measurement: cotton tent open dimension -19.6x 13.1x 9.8ft (l*w*h) /600*400*300cm, doors size: 71''h x 59'' w(180*150cm), sidewall: 23inch /60cm, weight: 127.9lbs /58kg. The tent could comfortably sleep 6 to 8 people. We will be using it for our long weekend and longer trips. There is ample room for everyone over this length of time and all the kit you would need.

Bought this behemoth as my children keep growing, and are of still an age to love camping. This was a significant upgrade to the 4m classic bell tent we have owned and used for many years.
