Marla and Carlton roam the pizzeria, when they hear Funtime Freddy, this leads both of them to end up in a mirror maze, luckily they are able to escape. This is ironic, considering he is iconic for having the color in his design to the point where, long before his real name was revealed, he was nicknamed Purple Guy. In 1995, Marla attend the launch of a scholarship dedicated to his school friend Michael Brooks, who went missing ten years earlier. Michael is a little child with a round face and rosy cheeks, with brown wide eyes that "glisten", and short blond hair. In the epilogue of Blackbird, after fusing with the four animatronics, he began to suck in even more of the junk around him, including Eleanor, a female shaped endoskeleton.

Michael Brooks is secondary protagonist in The Silver Eyes, The Twisted Ones, and The Fourth Closet.

This publication is just fun, inside out, and also I delighted in the prose itself as long as the tips of FNaF lore.

When Marla and Lamar realized they forgot to check on Pirate's Cove, Foxy bursts in and takes Jason with him. In The Fourth Closet, once he escaped from the Spring Bonnie suit, William began to regain his sanity, which in turn made him feel that he doesn’t need to be inconspicuous due to his state of condition. In the beginning of the novel, John continued his work as a construction worker, completely torn about Charlie's assumed death. Jessica later follows the fake Charlie, who reveals herself to be Circus Baby and is captured by her and brought to Circus Baby's Pizza. When they encountered Afton again, Charlie hit him over the head with a pipe, knocking him unconscious.

When John mentions the name of William Afton, the animatronics go mad and flee violently into the woods, including Golden Freddy that disappears. When they are about to leave, Charlie is captured by a damaged Twisted Freddy and introduced into the springlocks trap. During the course of the story, it is revealed that his body was stuffed into one of the animatronic costumes ( Golden Freddy), and that William Afton (co-founder of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza) was responsible for his murder and that of the other children.

He is the counterpart of Golden Freddy from Five Nights at Freddy's and the reincarnation form of Michael Brooks. He also appears to have a strange connection with Eleanor, both appearing to contain the exact same evil energy from within their bodies.

Unable to escape, the endoskeletons dragged him into a nearby furnace along with them, killing him for good. Michael was friends with the protagonists of the novel: Charlotte, John, Carlton, Jessica, Lamar and Marla. It is revealed that the control that allows the Twisted animatronics to alter how they are perceived, a small, coin-sized illusion disc, was created by Afton Robotics. If one believes him to have been the strange entity inside the Spring Bonnie's suit in Into the Pit, he can also be considered reckless and theatrical. It was was also covered with ridged pink scars, and in places where there were no scars were strange pallets of material fused to his head. The friends flee the restaurant and fetch Police Officer Dunn, only to find that the restaurant's door has been chained up while they were gone. The main antagonist of The Man in Room 1280 and the unintentional antagonist in the epilogues, he was hurt and murdered by William Afton only for Andrew attaching himself to the man's soul to ensure that he can't die. The day after, Marla, Jessica, John, and Clay are in the hospital, near Carlton's side as he is recovering from his near-death injury. The animatronics approached William's body and dragged him to Pirate Cove; at that time Golden Freddy also disappears and does not see him or the rest of the characters of Freddy Fazbear's Pizza. While he was able to remove most of the costume, he couldn't remove the animatronic parts lodged into his body.
