Highlights on Disc 3 include pop idols Donny Osmond, Bay City Rollers, Michael Jackson and David Essex, alongside unforgettable pop-reggae from Janet Kay with ‘Silly Games’, and the No. to 1-11 are also found on Various - Extended Seventies - The Dawning Of The 12 Inch Era, of which the new wave disc is said to have vinyl transfers. Slade, Smokie, Sparks and Sailor all delivered stellar pop gold and Showaddywaddy, Darts, Mud and John Travolta all pay homage to the Rock ‘N’ Roll era - 70’s style, as does the theme from the huge TV show ‘Happy Days’, and the first single to sell over two million copies in the UK and spent nine weeks at No. Huge hits from Donna Summer (‘Love’s Unkind’), David Soul with ‘Silver Lady’, and smashes from Suzi Quatro, Clout and Bonnie Tyler follow – and the first of two tracks from Brotherhood Of Man with ‘Figaro’ (their Eurovision winner ‘Save Your Kisses For Me’ is on Disc 3).

The only thing is that they use the good 12" Disco Remix of Relight My Fire (6:46) from 1980 and not the great original mix with the long intro of Loleatta Holloway: Vertigo / Relight My Fire (9:44) from 1979, mixed by John Luongo.Missing on this compilation is DAN HARTMAN's long version of " INSTANT REPLAY ( 8:19 ) , although it is included on the expanded version of his album " INSTANT REPLAY ". Of course, there are some genuine must-haves among the DJ-friendly disco extensions on offer, not least Elton John's Philly Soul anthem 'Are You Ready For Love', Cerrone's 'Supernature', Dan Hartman's 'Relight My Fire' and Diana Ross's epic 'Love Hangover'. Disc one tracks include the original 12-inch version of ‘Are You Ready For Love’ by Elton John, the rare long version of Wings’ non-album single ‘Goodnight Tonight’ (both 1979) and the seven-minute cut of Cliff Richard’s ‘We Don’t Talk Anymore’ and the 12″ mix of ‘Hit Me With Your Rhythm Stick’, and the full length version of The B-52s’ classic ‘Rock Lobster’. The Grease Megamix" was not released in the 1970s, but was actually released in Christmas Eve 1990 to commemorate the VHS release of the 1978 musical romance Grease.

I love this album because my favourite songs from the 70's in exelent condition no problems with the packaging no marks on the CD'S thank you. Jackson 5, Billy Ocean and The Real Thing bring the first disc to a close – but not before some stomping glam pop from Sweet, Mud, Wizzard and T. Disc 1 kicks off with one of the most enduring songs ever from the legendary ABBA with ‘Mamma Mia’ and continues with back-to-back No. As well as picking up litter on Wimbledon Common, The Wombles were the pop sensations of 1974, and ‘The Wombling Song’ kicks the last disc off – Boney M.We don’t share your credit card details with third-party sellers, and we don’t sell your information to others. The collection closes with three of the greatest anthems to evolve from the collision of amazing Soul vocals and a Disco dance-floor: Diana Ross with the 12” Version of ‘Love Hangover’, Gloria Gaynor’s timeless ‘I Will Survive’, and signing off with ‘Don’t Leave Me This Way’ with the legendary vocals of Thelma Houston. Not all 70's music in fact it is dominated by LATE 70's releases and many that would be 80's classics. Jackson’s ‘Automatic Lover’ and some ‘Galactic Funk’ from Meco with ‘Star Wars Theme/Cantina Band’ – available here in its 7.

Throw in a smattering of post-punk and new wave gems, plus arguably the greatest end-of-night anthem of all, Wings' 'Goodnight Tonight' (the extended version of which gets brilliantly dubbed-out in the middle and is far superior to the seven-inch mix) and you have a rock-solid collection of club-ready '70s sing-alongs. Mull Of Kintyre’ from Wings makes the perfect song to conclude our journey through the pop goldmine of the 1970s.
