Description

We will continue to work in social partnership to improve the deployment of teaching assistants, training and professional development, and greater consistency in pay which reflects these important roles. Through a strategic and sustainable approach to digital and blended learning, opportunities will be extended in maintained schools, further education and adult learning to maximise the transformational benefits digital can have on education. We work with school leaders to transform the way their school works and with teachers to develop High Performance Learning approaches in the classroom, which ultimately uplifts learner performance.

We will support additional learning needs (ALN) reform of systems, provision and practices around person-centred practice and inclusive education, delivering positive changes for learners with ALN and monitor system effectiveness. During their first two weeks of Year 7, new learners will continue exploring the themes of the novel in school, providing a familiar learning link between Year 6 and Year 7.HPL places emphasis on metacognition: getting children to think about how they think, and what strategies to use in different situations. Expert staff, exciting learning and a huge range of extracurricular opportunities help our students become resilient learners, expert readers, knowledge explorers and responsible citizens who aim high and can shape the future. Copyright 2024 Potential Plus UK (Operating Name of the National Association for Gifted Children) | Charity Number: 313182 | Company Limited by Guarantee 905037 | VAT No. We promote the ‘growth mindset’ philosophy, which is a core part of HPL, and which teaches pupils that making mistakes is a constructive part of learning and something that we continue to encounter throughout life.

This engaging and challenging environment is stimulating for teachers, increasing their satisfaction as they begin to feel more confident and valued. The EEF has trialled ‘Embedding Formative Assessment’ in English schools and found a positive impact, on average. The report includes ten case studies drawn from the literature review to exemplify how high-impact pedagogies across the four main discipline areas were being used within specific disciplines. High Performance Learning was developed by experienced educational leader and academic Professor Deborah Eyre, whose key philosophy is that every student has the potential to be a high performer. We will take account of the recommendations in the Independent Inquiry into Child Sexual Abuse (IICSA) as they relate to learning settings to help ensure children stay safe. The closing shot features Professor Phipps walking beneath the American flag, with the caption "Unlearn" superimposed over it. The Independent Welsh Pay Review Body (IWPRB) will deliver a strategic review ensuring the structure of teachers’ and leaders’ pay and conditions embraces aspirations for the future. Think of the Broad General Education (BGE in S1-3) as a 3-year experience rather than a single year-on-year approach - it's not possible to take everything all at once! Potential Plus UK subscribe to Pfeiffer’s Tripartite Model of Giftedness in our identification of children with high learning potential.

As an integral part of our education workforce, teaching assistants have a crucial role to play in helping tackle the impact of poverty on educational attainment. The department recognises the importance of early identification of specific learning difficulties, and the provision of appropriate intervention. Their work is celebrated at an extra special event, welcoming parents, and guardians into our Blue Box Theatre, to enjoy both a wonderful stage show and introduction to creativity at Chorlton High.By taking a whole-system approach to tertiary education, we will narrow educational inequalities, expand opportunities and raise standards. A partnership has been formed between the White Rose Academies Trust and High Performance Learning (a framework which has been adopted by schools in over 30 different countries). Alternatively, others are used as more extended methods of tracking and supporting pupil progress over many months.
