The fragrance opens with an impressive and sophisticated combination of spicy and woody notes represented by cardamon and sandalwood. Sillage is good, but longevity is excellent, which is a good thing considering that the ending of BLV is the best part! It seems like a mostly linear scent and once it settles down on your skin, what you smell is mostly what you get. Blv lasted quite long enough for a delicate perfume as it is, and made me fell fresh showered and clean.

And now its also similar to the female version- Bvlgari BLV pour femme (the very first BLV which also I own). Initially famed for its magnificent jewelry, the brand has expanded its offerings to include watches, accessories, handbags, hotels and fragrances.It's a shame because it is a pleasant scent but I don't think I'll be keeping it around or just carry it around to reapply all day. Develops rather fast from first, maybe least pleasant part, where ginger is dominant, male and spicy, into creamy freshness. It inspired me to try other Bvlgari fragrances but remains one of my favorites, along with Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir, Black, and Aqva.I keep giving them a second chance to see if I've changed at all, but maybe we're just not a good match. This is probably best seeming that powdery ginger and florals don't usually work too well in large, loud doses. As an aside, to my sensibilities, Black is an elegant contemporary representation of some more timeless scents with a note of rubber tipping the thing to give it an angle; and it works. Then there is the slightly masculine which is more musky and non-floral making it very male-friendly but still holding on to it's softer side.
