The temps dropped to 0c and the area around the top of my sleeping bag (where my breath was warmer than the air) and surrounding area of the bivvy was wet, quite wet… I’ve been using the bag so far throughout May, June and July in the Blue Mountains west of Sydney, with overnight temps ranging from 0-7c, however the air is generally quite dry. For once it wasn't raining, so we set about trimming 2 lots of goat feet and 7 lots of alpaca feet (as well as a few hair do's!)

And if you see a itty-bitty piggy in the market Give that bitch a quarter and a car, tell her ‘Park it!’ It’s so easy to the point where they are basically nursery rhymers, and she’d rather dismiss them as “pork” instead. Emergency: Reliable in an emergency, ie: ‘Geez, I hope I never have to use it’, shelter for a dodgy, exploratory, day trip. Tent bound : So maybe the weather was fine (as was the forecast) when you set out, but imagine being tent bound, in horrendous weather… in only a bivvie. Hmmm. Not my idea of a great few days out. It would make cooking, reading, stretching and generally all that we tent-ers do to make being tent-bound living bearable… unbearable. I started to wean my little boy who is now 22 weeks 2 weeks ago. He is on the 2nd percentile and has a milk protein allergy and I had a meeting with the dietician who said go for it!Anyway, we started on lunches all veg at the time. He loved it and was doing so well. Anyway about 5 days in he stopped poo-ing and for 3 days in a row he took 6oz!! Then on the 4th day he did the hardest poo I've ever seen him do after that he's been ok-ish.

So since then I have introduced fruit into his diet... Now he has a breakfast and lunch or dinner. However I'm really struggling to still get the milk down him and work out his timings. We then cleaned the stable out and hosed it down. The only animals we haven't had to sort out today were the pigs-they really seemed to be the happiest of the bunch wallowing in the mud! Do you have anyone who could come over for a few hours to watch her, then all you need to do is feed her?

In and Out : It takes a bit of practice, but to begin with you’ll be thankful if you’ve mastered the Downward Dog or Cobra when first getting into and out of your bag… either that or you’ll find a whole lot of shimmy-ing going on. I can't even leave the baby with someone so I can have an afternoon to catch up on the housework or the laundry becoz they can't feed her, and she feeds on demand so I can't even guarantee a window of time. Does anyone have any suggestions to help me, it's really worrying whether I'm doing the right thing. I do try to include 2oz into his breakfast and lunches but this can make the meals running and also quite large (so in turn I don't know whether this is a vicious circle). As for the risk of breaking- If you're cutting grapes in half (which we all should do)...you don't want them risking an Amber bead (same size as a grape) in their wind pipe. There are many more ways to soothe gums than risking it for a fashionable moment.
