Jacqueline Wilson is such a talented and amazing authour, my poem is getting published in a book and i want to be like Jackie when i am older. I liked that the show proved to be so important to the plot, as I thought at first it was just an odd little quirk of Beauty's. But now that I am not a child, I feel that Jacky Wilson doesn't really go all out on this one, something that I think even she's aware of.

I wasn't sure if it would appeal to elementary girls, but I did a book talk on it and every girl in the class wanted to read it. Eventually, after an unbearable birthday party, amidst fears that Dad’s temper is out of control, Mum and Beauty run away. I think that anyone who is struggling with a parents divorce or parents fighting all the time would find comfort in this book. Beauty and her meek, sweet mother live in uneasy fear of his fierce rages, sparked whenever they break one of his fussy house rules. This book got me into reading I absolutely LOVED it I always had it with me in fear of never reading a better book I've always felt that the ending needed a bit more closure that's why its not 5 stars. Domestic abuse is hard to read about, but it's so worth it by the end and it's definitely one of the happiest ever afters JW's written! Berkali-kali Beauty dan ibunya harus mengalah dan terpaksa menuruti keinginan Ayahnya yang sangat mudah marah, apalagi jika moodnya sedang jelek.Considering the last book I read by Jacqueline Wilson ( Lily Alone) was merely lukewarm, I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this particular offering. However, when Dilly and Beauty learn that her father let the rabbit Rhona gave Beauty for her birthday out of its cage (and killed by a fox), Dilly decides she has had enough of her husband, tells him she is separating from him and goes away in her car taking Beauty with her.

For all the walking on eggshells, and the unpleasant bullying that Beauty suffers, both at school, and at home, I find this book utterly charming, and ultimately uplifting. Her favourite television show is "Rabbit Hutch", a show for young children about a man and his pet rabbit. Rhiannon from Candlyfloss, Chloe from Sleepovers, and I am very sure there are more that I cannot remember or haven't read yet. The party soon becomes miserable when, at the show, Beauty feels too shy to go onstage (the show is to celebrate people's birthdays), and Gerry shouts at her in the limousine after all the girls leave.

Beauty is asked to go on 'Watchbox', a talent show that Skye really wanted to go on, due to the rise in popularity of her mother's cookies. It's so utterly tragic in the beginning, but Beauty's story still managed to be relatable because everyone's felt belittled even if it's just to a small degree. Beauty's birthday is approaching and she is dreading it, however her father appears to turn a new leaf and act like a real dad.
