Two years in the making, the book and its associated resources are now published, with school kits heading to every state secondary school in the UK. And the projects displayed in the book are diverse and intriguing: for instance, developing fabric from excess carbon dioxide, building flood alleviation schemes, 3D printing prosthetic limbs and converting waste chicken feathers into packaging.In the Powering our Future chapter – one I was very interested in as an engineer working in energy – Somara surprised me with a nuclear fusion apprentice, a head of hydrogen systems and integration, and an engineer working on uninterruptable power supply (UPS) systems. Testament to my recommendation, after reading this book, I got four more copies to give to our Women’s Engineering Society summer work experience scheme students! Am not sure about all the negative things said about this seller by other people,,, because my experience was completely different, totally positive. Although there were a few diagrams that I puzzled over, I felt that the book generally did a good job of explaining complex ideas in a way that is accessible to non-expert readers. His work contains limited palettes, clean geometric shapes and exacting lines and has featured in museum exhibit displays around the UK, such as the Science and Media Museum.
