Kenzo Amour the women’s perfume by Kenzo is both an evocation and the fruit of a languid voyage of love in Asia punctuated by encounters soft sensations and perfumes bursting with life. I can see why there might be a comparison to Hypnotic Poison but Amour is missing all the complexity that makes HP interesting and addictive. I’m so glad I rediscovered it, this is the type of fragrance i always like to have in my collection. While I was wearing it today its projection in the wind made me feel as if I was wearing a nutty version of Pour Femme because I am also sensing something slightly bright and tart here, just like in Pour Femme,alot softer here of course and it must be the cherry blossom with the frangipani mimicking the tartness of mandarin/raspberry of the Pour Femme.

When I stumbled across this refreshed line was so excited as was an absolute favourite until you simply couldn't find it anywhere . For the past couple of years, the years where I finally started to see glimpses of what was to come, I started looking for Amour again. It's not about sexuality, passionate feelings and seduction, no, it's the smell of real unconditional love. fl oz size makes a great gift for someone who needs a pick-me-up or who might appreciate receiving a present of this delightful scent. I think the play dough type vanilla in Amour could work on some people (same people who wear other Dior perfumes that have that note) but not on me. This is more sophisticated imo than Hypnotic Poison or Forbidden, because the playdoh element is not straight up almond overload.

If you like rich vanilla-ey scents and sweeter perfumes with some depth and oriental overtones then this is perfect for you.With a refreshing and invigorating scent, this versatile KENZO Amour women's fragrance will become a staple in your daily beauty routine. Echoing others, this does become a skin scent but a long lasting one, especially when sprayed on clothing. I also get the delicate rice note that people mentioned, perhaps that is what is giving it that ‘milky’ impression - rice milk.

It isn't the most dynamic or "interesting" scent I have in my collection, but by god it is one of the best for doing what fragrance should--making you feel something. This perfume has received two awards: the FiFi Award for Fragrance of the Year Women's Nouveau Niche 2007 and the FiFi Award for Best Packaging Women's Luxe 2007. Rice and White Tea are the top notes; Frangipani, Cherry Blossom, and Heliotrope are the middle notes; and Vanille, Incense, Musk, and Woody Notes are the base notes. After half an hour or so, the incense has weakened enough for the other notes to become more noticeable.It's everything that I look for in a comforting vanilla-based fragrance and the addition of a rice note was such a pleasant surprise! I only wish it had an additional uplifting note, something to make it a tiny bit fresh, so it becomes suitable for everyday. My bottle is pretty old; my formulation lasts about 10 to 12 hours on me and has heavy sillage with two sprays. A good feminine winter scent (although it can be worn by anyone like I always say about fragrances) which is very soothing, relaxing, calming yet super sexy.
