About this deal

As the means by which you can refuse cookies through your web browser controls vary from browser-to-browser, you should visit your browser's help menu for more information. As ever, these things will look great tacked up on your hobby room wall (other walls are also available) as a way of showing off part of your collection – provided, of course, that it has survived transit. These look super fun, and each mission details exactly how your scenery from this box must be laid out. Resource-rich and isolated from the other worlds of the Chalnath Expanse, the Vedik System is a worthy target for the T’au Empire. With 23 figures in the box, there’s enough in Chalnath to keep you busy for a while, whether you’re just in it for the painting, or if you’re desperate for two new kill teams to begin slaughtering your pals with.

By swapping their autoguns for Novitiate melee weapons, they can swing three times when charging, with a crucial extra point of Strength to put the hurt on the likes of Drukhari raiders, smaller Tyranid bioforms, and other light targets. The book is 96 pages, bound by a glossy high quality cover and is, as you’d expect, full of fantastic artwork. The contents page is clearly labelled to the Nth degree, so you’ve got no chance of getting lost as you navigate the book, chasing down that particular rule. If the Kill Team Roadmap which was released a few months ago is to be believed, these rules releases are probably going to come in pairs every quarter (i. It’s a nice optional purchase for those looking to expand their Kill Team collection or if you’re interested in one or both of the new kill teams.

Blessed Blade pulls the same trick Honour Blade does, improving your WS by 1 but only upping your Critical damage by 1. This army is really focused on incapacitating the enemy, so be sure to get right into the thick of it! One can even carry a pair of neural whips, which are just as handy for driving your operatives forward as they are for lashing your foes. The T’au Empire and Adepta Sororitas clash in a series of violent running battles in the Vedik System with this new expansion for Kill Team – which comes complete with two full teams and a bunch of Imperial ruins to fight over. This is pretty great for making the best of a bad situation and getting someone over the edge to their next advancement.

Wrapping up the T’au, like the Sisters, you’ve got unique rare equipment, Strategic Assests and Requistions. There’s also a new grenade that’s super helpful for the Pathfinder strategy: The Markerlight Grenade, which can drop markerlights on multiple enemy targets at the same time.

It explains what these technologies are and why we use them, as well as your rights to control them. The teams themselves are great, though Novitates certainly feel like they’re more unique than Pathfinder teams, and have slightly better rules to compensate. As a big fan of the Adepta Sororitas and a former T’au Empire collector, I am absolutely psyched to get into the good stuff in this box. The primary purpose of these dividers is to protect the softer paper and card goods beneath from the claws and talons of the moulded plastic above, so there’s always a chance yours may arrive scratched or punctured – which means it’s done its job. The guide is extremely long and at times quite confusing and convoluted – and the bit of scenery you end up with at the end is massive, so good luck finding a place to keep this one whilst it awaits the attention of your brush!

You’ll need something to lay it all out on too, and Chalnath has you covered with a thick double-sided game board covered in rubble and the worn remains of Imperial architecture. However, I find 1-3 are the ideal uses, with 4+ being too situational and easy to deny by the opponent as they can simple just move that operative out of visibility during an activation. It takes careful usage and can’t really be spammed but can be a very crutch play during later turning points.
