The leather top is suspended over the saddle rail to create a suspended moulded seat, similar to a hammock, for tailored lasting comfort. I now realise why Brooks has such a history as a company, and I'm glad that I have a little bit of that history on one of my bikes. A practical and good looking saddle that delivers great comfort and performance the Swift is a welcome addition to the Brooks family. One day I shall recoup this small weight gain from some other component, but I could not give up the Swift now.
