About this deal

In the heart of the fragrance, you'll find the soft and earthy notes of oak moss, ivy leaves, and sandalwood.

Anyways, while I like this scent, it smells great, I don't get any complexity in it, there's not enough in the dry down from me to pick out the notes. It has an excellent atomiser which is just as well as I found that I have to spray quite heavily to get any longevity over 2 hours. With notes of bergamot, grapefruit, and honey, Burberry Weekend for Men is fresh and comfortable to wear, whether you spritz it on for work or leisure. I don't get any oakmoss at all from opening to drydown, or any wood notes, so I suspect the current blend is a major reformulation. Opening with an invigorating burst of citrus and a heart of sandalwood and sweet base of honey with musk, making a fruity, refreshing scent.I never told my friend or her sister I was wearing Burberry Weekend (that friend of her sister was probably wearing it too). If the inicial blast promises something really citric, what I quickly get is something more flowery or anything else but citric, what surprises me considering the notes I´m seing here (bergamota, grapefruit, lemon).

A strong lemon scent which projects well for the first two hours, is affordable, could be used as a sporty frag, but does not last very long. Just give it a bit of time to settle into a lemon and ivy drydown with slight nuances of honey and wood. If you have a non-BNPL balance, you will still need to make at least your minimum payment as shown on your statement. Lemon, Grapefruit, Bergamot, Pineapple, Mandarin Orange, and Melon are the top notes; Ivy, Oakmoss, and Sandalwood are the middle notes; while Honey, Musk, and Amber are the base notes. Notes: bergamot, mandarin orange, lemon, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, ivy leaves, sandalwood, oakmoss, amber, honey. When it gets over 105 degrees here this is one of the few fragrances I can tolerate because of the refreshing notes. It doesnt get compliments, you grow tired of smelling the scent on yourself, theres no interesting changes in the notes or dry down and again why would you wear somthing thats nothing unique or new? A strong synthetic, citrus accord that's followed by a strong woody, "green," pine accord that has decent longevity. I recommend this one if you want to smell clean, fresh/herbal, it has a good lasting power without being cloying, to be a spring/summer scent.

Burberry's classic Weekend for men fragrance opens with light citrus top notes of fresh lemon, grapefruit and sweet tangerine that invigorates.Smells like kids playing soccer in a grass field while an electric lawnmower chases them into evergreen shrubs. After the first hour, that green note creeps in and I’m smelling like I rubbed an actual broken off part of a lemon verbena plant on my wrist. It gives this fragrance a green, almost-acidic quality to this stuff that gives off a clean vibe that you can’t dislike. Lemon dominates throughout, and in the dry down you also pick up some green facets in the background. It's among the more "english gentlemanly" of its type among the recent ones, but still feels contemporary.

The dry-down though is pretty decent, so once you get past that extremely synthetic mandarin in the opening notes, the smell is bearable. Weekend in my opinion is a "sleeper" colonge from the Burberry house because its overshadowed by London and Burberry Brit. The drydown is sweet and smooth with rich ambers and sweet flowery honey, rich and gently delicious. A fresh citrus fragrance where the burst of Lemon and Grapefruit is softened by a subtle radiance of Amber and Honey.Soft heart notes of oak moss, ivy leaves and sandalwood rounds the fragrance gently down to the radiant warm base notes of honey, amber and musk. I originally thought it was fiddlehead (fern), or perhaps another fern like Boston or Shaggy Shield, but the note breakdown here says ivy. Playing to the strength and aesthetic of the ivy centerpiece with something sharp but green would have kept it more consistent, and perhaps avoid dismissal off the disjointed opening. Its fresh citrus top notes and well-balanced heart and base notes create a fragrance that appeals to a wide range of tastes. With everything I bought last fall/winter seeming to be too heavy, I might have to revisit this one.
