About this deal

If a coffee machine comes with a milk-frothing system, our panel rate the quality of cappuccino, taking into account the taste, aroma and appearance of the cappuccino, as well as how thick the froth is and how well it blends with the coffee. Press the steam button to select high temperature (single shot button is low temp, double shot button is medium).

Considering a descale as I’ve only had it about 6 weeks but can never be sure with a refurb I suppose. Looking for a wide range of home barista accessories, including tampers, milk jugs, knock out boxes, manual brewers, manual grinders, brew scales, and loads more? The machine is lightweight as expected so the most difficult thing about it is holding it still while I insert the tight (that’s good) filter holder. This filter holder is equally suitable for ground coffee and Easy Serve Espresso pods, putting you in the driver’s seat when it comes to customising your drink, while a flow stop function ensures consistent, personalised coffee every time. Thanks to the Adjustable Cappuccino System and Double Drip Tray, the barista-at-home can now prepare Latte Macchiato, Caffelatte, Hot Milk, and Flat White on top of Espresso, Lungo, Cappuccino and Tea.Coffee it makes is fine and it’s easy to use but I’m honestly unhappy about the machine breaking down just after the two year mark. Before each shot, pull at least a single double shot of water through the portafilter – I'd recommend two double shots worth for the best results.

I have only just bought it so I can’t speak for longevity yet, but so far it produces very acceptable shots using espresso grounds, it produces a good crema. The Dedica is easy to operate though, and has some nice extra features that the cheaper machines don’t have (such as adjustable temperature, and adjustable automated brew time). Before we move on, I think it's important that would-be traditional espresso machine users understand that to use a machine like this means to become a home barista, at least to some degree.

They won't be as responsive, they'll need batteries rather than being rechargeable, and they won't be as nice to use, but they're cheap and they'll do the job. Unfortunately about 12mths it has started losing pressure and hopefully I can get it repaired or solve the issue. Hi, I have this machine but even with running a couple of double hot water shots and using the steam wand to heat up the machine first, I can’t seem to get a hot coffee.

The Gaggia Classic Pro and the Sage Bambino Plus are among the most popular options at the very entry-level for home barista machines. Once you've distributed and tamped, be careful not to bang the portafilter when locking it into the group, if you're not careful you can break the puck, making channelling inevitable.

It is not preinfusing before the shot, the issue resolves for short period after descaling (orange steam light is not active) and the reset option has not resolved the issue.I’ve been using the trick of removing the panarello and steaming with the rubber pipe and was achieving some decent milk texture, but after a couple of weeks use the pipe just seems to rapidly froth and stretch my milk in a matter of seconds with no control.
