About this deal

The special effects are magnificent, even the collector’s item of some stop motion animation (a real lost art). And certainly the best of the films are gathered here in this collection, now including one of the most interesting if not quite best of the sequels. Aside from the original, the box set will also include Hellbound: Hellraiser II, Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth and Hellraiser: Bloodline.

She is also a Cinema reviewer and works with RealD 3D reviewing the latest 3D releases and IMAX, she has also had several articles published in various publications including the first edition of SFW Magazine. There he regales the marine’s leader with his family history, starting back in 1796 when his ancestor, a noted toymaker (Ramsay again), was commissioned to make the first box for a vicious libertine who used it to entrap a demon, Angelique (Valentina Vargas), and create a gateway to hell.

But note that the feature-length Leviathan documentaries, Barker's early short films Salome and The Forbidden, and the Question of Faith fan film included on 'The Scarlet Box' set are missing.Justin has been with Digital Spy since 2010, and in that time, has covered countless major news events for DS from the US. Bloodline’s workprint isn’t the mythical first cut of Kevin Yagher unfortunately and doesn’t really do that much different from the theatrical cut (running the same duration almost) but it’s a really nice get for the set.

Over more than a decade, he has interviewed a wide-ranging group of public figures, from comedian Steve Coogan to icons from the Star Trek universe, cast members from the Marvel Cinematic Universe and reality stars from numerous Real Housewives cities and the Below Deck franchise. Friendly discussions about pickups, collection sharing, sales, or specific films/releases are all welcome. is revisiting the Hellraiser franchise just a few years after it brought out the rather extravagantly packaged Hellraiser: The Scarlet Box. Certain items can take longer to source than the estimated week, particularly during busy trading periods and may take longer to arrive at our warehouse. Neil became a horror fan from just a nightmare-inducing glimpse of the Ghoulies VHS cover and a book on how to draw ghosts.

They are: Hellraiser: Quartet of Torment (1987-1996), The House by the Cemetery (1981), Witness (1985), The Iron-Fisted Monk (1977), and The Desperate Hours (1955). However, according to them (and with no other information able to be sourced), this release sees a plethora brand new 4K restorations done from the original camera negatives for all four films, which have been used to produce native 3,840 x 2,160 images in their original theatrical 1. He expertly walks the line being a terrifying monster whilst delivering cutting one liners with confidence and not damaging the brand or heritage in the process.

As a US contributor to Digital Spy, Justin has also been on the ground to cover major pop culture events like the Star Wars Celebration and the D23 Expo. The discs are also loaded with special features, not to mention the wildly impressive box decked out with new artwork that will look good on the ol’ media shelf. The big difference with this 4K iteration of Hellraiser III: Hell on Earth over Arrow's earlier Blu-ray is the corrected framing, so there's no longer too much picture information (including lighting rigs and crew members). The film was a smash hit at the box office, making fifteen times its budget, and went on to garner even more fans on home video. There are some really tricky elements of these films to try and deal with in a 4K restoration, yet Arrow and their team have done a really fantastic job of providing a set of discs that improve over their previous restorations in every way possible. However if you are a sensitive person who is easily shocked, offended or frightened then you need not take this journey as it will only upset you and have a lasting negative effect on you. And while this first film can be objectively looked at now as having any number of glaring imperfections – the acting, bar a demented Andrew Robinson, a disturbingly sexy Clare Higgins and Doug Bradley’s cameo aside, is bargain basement; the plot ignores any form of intricacy and does most of its characters a real disservice; that strange mid-Atlantic setting and wonky accents; while the nightmare logic of the actual and waking dream sequences (the cricket eating hobo who turns into a skeletal dragon, anyone? an 80 minute appreciation of Hellbound, by George Daniel Lea and Kit Power are equally disjointed, but at least they’re in the same room! And even the fact it starts and ends in space – the butt of every franchise gag in the last thirty years started here methinks – even works well with the final reveal of the Elysium Configuration in all its glory.
