I am in the market for a track saw but then I came across adapters in which you sit your circular saw inside of and run it against the guide rail, as you would a track saw. Turning off the personalised advertising setting won’t stop you from seeing Etsy ads, but it may make the ads you see less relevant or more repetitive. It’s easy to use – place circular saw on this adapter, clamp it and it is ready to work with guide rail! I haven't used that combination Andy, but I'd be cautious because there are all sorts of little issues that can catch you out with guide rails.
As I already had a circular saw which has the ability to run on a track I was hoping to be able to do this. The conclusion is that out of the box, for each router, by enlarging a hole in the bosch base you could potentially fix the router using existing holes but it is not ideal.
Would use the Makita guide rails, but there other makes which fit Makita adaptor plate, could be Triton,can't remember.
The base looks more robust on the Dewalt to me as the Makita looks to be quite thin sheet metal, vs the Dewalts cast base. Can you operate the micro off-set adjust, can you fit a stop, does the dust extraction interfere with anything?
