About this deal

Quinn and Graham’s perfect love is threatened by their imperfect marriage. The memories, mistakes, and secrets that they have built up over the years are now tearing them apart. The one thing that could save them might also be the very thing that pushes their marriage beyond the point of repair. Colleen Hoover delivers a tour de force novel about a troubled marriage and the one old forgotten promise that might be able to save it.

He shakes his head. Tiny little fast shakes that indicate I couldn’t be more wrong and he couldn’t be more right. “I have the right apartment. I’m positive. Does your fiancé drive a blue Volvo?”

We immediately understand that this is a woman who wants to have a child desperately but can’t and it’s slowly tearing her on the inside that she can’t and is barely holding on. Quinn’s POV benefited a lot from Hoover’s sparse but emotional prose which captured Quinn’s pain so well. There’s something more in Graham’s expression. Something I haven’t noticed before. Concern, maybe? He pegs me with a serious stare. “Do not forgive him for this, Quinn.” Quinn was now able to joke about it whenever people ask her if she had kids. I liked how it became a game between her and Graham to make up the most ridiculous story. They had all girls named after spices like Parsley, Cumin, Basil, and Rosemary 😂 Rosemary’s cute, Cumin? Not so much. I also liked how once Quinn got past realizing things would be okay without kids, she became more passionate about her dreams. She wrote a book and her and Graham spontaneously moved to Europe to be close to Ava and farther from the mom. The chapters of the novel that detail the excitement of Quinn and Graham’s new relationship and growing love are alternated with chapters that describe what their relationship looks like seven years later. Quinn is so hurt by not being able to have a child that she does not even want to make love to Graham. Making love gives her hope she might receive a miracle, but the hope is dashed each month when her period starts.

If a scientist could figure out how to align the heart with the brain, there would be very little agony left in the world." I know. That’s not the bad part. The bad part is that I do know how to change a tire. He just refused to let me because it would have embarrassed him to have to stand aside while a girl changed his tire.” Colleen Hoover is good with words. I mean every writer should, right? I have some favorite authors; I always buy their books without even knowing what they are about. Helena Hunting, RS Gray, Alessandra Torre, and of course Colleen Hoover…just to name a few.I’m not even sure I want to confront Ethan. Part of me wants to walk away and pretend the last few minutes didn’t happen. I could text him and tell him I came home early and he could tell me he’s working late and I could remain blissfully ignorant. I hope you choose the road that will make you the happiest. Even its it’s not a choice I’ll love. I will still always love you. Whether I’m a part of your life or not. You deserve happiness more than anyone I know. The doors close and it’s a long, quiet ride to the bottom. Graham doesn’t let go of my hand and we don’t speak, but we also don’t cry. We walk quietly out of the elevator and across the lobby. When we reach the door, Vincent holds it open for us, looking at us both with apology in his eyes. Graham pulls out his wallet and gives Vincent a handful of bills. “Thanks for the apartment number,” Graham says. COLLEAGUE!! She wanted Graham and Quinn so badly. She wanted him to keep fighting for her. When chapter 16 came along, he was very worried. abeYou didn’t ruin my dreams for these two. Of course, without a little swoon, it wouldn’t be considered romance…and boy did I swoon.

As for God, his way is perfect: The word of Jehovah is tried; He is a shield unto all them that take refuge in him. No one writes a gut wrenching tale quite like bestselling author Colleen Hoover. A fact she’s proven more than a dozen times—and now, once again, in All Your Perfects." Us Weekly Magazine I thought this story was chemical, it broke my heart in the best way and as much as I hurt - I didn't want it to end. I didn't want to leave Quinn and Graham. I wanted to see every detail of what their lives would turn out to be. Then I eat and wonder how long I’m going to sit out here in the hallway with this guy. I don’t want to be here when the door opens because I don’t want to see what Sasha looks like. But I also don’t want to miss the moment when she opens the door and finds Graham sitting out here, eating her Chinese food. With a deft hand, Colleen Hoover crafts the unraveling of a marriage with brutal, unflinching honesty. The genius is in how she stitches together the perfect ending. This is one beautiful story." Tracey Garvis GravesYour way is perfect, LORD, and your word is correct. You are a shield for those who run to you for help. Warning: My thoughts are a mess which means this review will be a mess. Please proceed with caution. I never read a book with the then and now perspectives before and I feel like writing it this way was very strategic and made the story stronger. I loved how we got to see how happy, young, and spontaneous Quinn and Graham were in the past, and then how dark, dreary, and complicated everything was seven years later. It kept making me wonder what happened or what changed in the span of seven years to make them the complicated couple they were today? I clear my throat and try to hide my fear, even though the guy looks harmless. But I guess evil doesn’t have a telling exterior, so it’s hard to judge. “My fiancé lives here. He’s inside,” I lie.

One of my favorite quotes was how marriage isn’t perfect, but the secret s to not give up at the same time. They were going to give up, but they loved each other so much to make it work. Take a moment to write a love letter to your partner, seal it in an envelope, and hide it away. Pull it out in times of distress to remind yourself of why you love them and the promises you once made to each other. Now, write a love letter to yourself. Keep it close at hand and re-read it every time you’re being particularly hard on yourself as a reminder of all the reasons why you deserve love and happiness, even in your darkest moments. It felt like an unnecessary attempt to make the story more suspenseful and emotional than it is. But whatever reason Hoover had in using this narrative style AGAIN, it didn’t work for me. I found myself getting angry and feeling manipulated. But more on that later. I didn’t really like Graham either. He is, in my opinion, one of Hoover’s weakest heroes. And I don’t know if it’s because we didn’t get his POV or whatever but he was just boring. The whole cheating thing—yes, it was cheating and there was really no justification for it—made me dislike him even more. I’m not even going to touch on his asinine reason for doing so but yeah, I wasn’t a fan of Graham at all. Not even his letters could make me like him.

Early Departures by Justin a. Reynolds Book…

In Chapter Fourteen, as Graham drunkenly confesses a fraction of his frustrations with how things are between them now, Quinn retreats deeper into herself. What does this moment mean for their relationship? Discuss other ways in which this scene could have unfolded to avoid—or worsen—what followed. And All your perfects is realistic story about not so perfect couple who are estranged and when they build walls between them, ruining every beautiful memory they’ve created in years, only a small box of letters help them go on!
