About this deal

I will be adding more of my experiences to this article as I use the other features more. Conclusion The first impression we got when we held the Gerber Curve was of a swiss army knife with a carabiner built in. It’s a keychain style multi tool that’s just 2.25 in long and weighs only .8 oz. It gives you six different tools, including: We didn’t get a chance to try out the glass breaker but it has a very hard point and we don’t doubt it would work. The four hex wrenches are all closed off, something we prefer to the open cell designs found on many other tools in this list. Utility/safety blade to easily cut paracord, fishing line, string and much more - stainless steel, replaceable Carabiners. As a one bagger, I can't live without them. This is literal when it comes to the Firebiner, which is a carabiner as much for everyday use as it is for survival.

The Outdoor Element Firebiner Carabiner Multi Tool caught my eye as a gadget that resonates with my love for hiking and camping. As someone who’s always on the lookout for compact and multifunctional tools, this one seemed like a promising companion for my outdoor adventures. Most of these tools come standard but not every model includes the carabiner. It doubles as a bottle opener and has a really interesting design. Instead of being built into the body of the tool it actually folds out like a knife or saw blade. This isn’t your regular carabiner. The Firebiner by Outdoor Element is like a superhero of carabiners. It does the usual carabiner stuff, sure, but wait till you hear what else it can do. Alright, we’ve covered the climbing part and the super-cool Firebiner, but carabiners can be incredibly handy in other everyday scenarios as well. Beyond the Climb: Everyday Uses for Carabiners This little dynamo can help start a fire with its built-in fire wheel, and it’s also equipped with a utility blade that can cut through fishing line or thread. Talk about a multi-talented companion for your outdoor escapades!

Fire Striker Wheel: Provides a satisfying spray of sparks, useful for lighting tinder or stoves with some practice. If you really like the carabiner design of the Gerber Crucial it’s not a bad choice, but other multi tools will give you better value. When combined with the Style PS the Hail gives you a good mix of basic tools that you can use to adjust and maintain your board on the fly. It’s a well made tool that can stand up to regular use and something any serious snowboarder would find handy. It works great as a bottle opener but is honestly too small to use for attaching other items to the Curve. It’s fine for clipping on a keychain but we found it a bit of a struggle to put the Curve on a belt loop or bag strap. All in all a great little tool, but without most of the functionality of a quality carabiner. Best Multi Tool with Carabiner We know how messy it gets when you have multiple things attached to a single carabiner. This is why there are two different-sized holes at the bottom for you to get creative and use for whatever attachments, so you can isolate the actual carabiner for a single use. Material

While I haven't started any fires, I've tried out the Everspark wheel and it was much easier than The Kodiak to get a spark going, since the position is fixed and you just have to spin the wheel at the right speed. On top of the stainless steel, there is additionally an extremely durable titanium coating. How tough do they want to make this carabiner?

Novelty and conversation starter: The Firebiner’s unique design and functions are bound to spark conversations among outdoor enthusiasts.Answer: Making a spark with the Firebiner requires deliberate force. Incidental jostling would not be enough to turn the spark wheel.
