Quite straight forward. Physical installation is very easy as noted by other reviewers. I plugged mine in via my powered USB hub with no issues. The individual settings for each “shaker” work very well. I have no doubt that under a basic, initial setup not using SimHub or Crewchief the application would work as intended. It however is quite limited in what games are supported and the level of that support. The application itself feels like a beta that has been pressed into production. I have no doubt that there are a few programmers at NLR that are furious over this business decision to release this product without proper software. NLR is a large company and I have no doubt that in a few months the software will be updated to be "useable", but it simply is terrible right now. Comfort is a mixed bag for me. I weigh in at 230lbs and can tell I’m no longer sitting in my Omega XL chair. I can feel the shakers and would say that it has reduced my comfort level of my seat. That being said, I only felt like this was an issue when I was trying to get it configured. Once working and racing… the immersion took me away and I was smiling. While the HF8 may have been designed with one eye on sim racing immersion, it can also be used for other gaming categories such as FPS games and flight simulators.
