Admiro a esta mujeres, niñas, adolescente, niños y hombres que pasaron por semejante violación a todos los derechos que puedan existir y sobrevivieron para seguir luchando y plantandole cara a todo el dolor generado. I always feel bad DNFing ARCs but at the same time, I'm not gonna force myself to read and then rate poorly a book I don't want to read anymore, regardless of whether its released or not. I didn't like this. It's as simple as that. The Last Girl is a story of how it feels like to be hated for your beliefs. It shows how a tiny seed of disgust can fester and grow over time to turn into motivations for a full-scale genocide.

Instead, it's plain scary that our supposedly postindustrial and humanistic and diverse and democratic and altogether oh-so-very-enlightened world has allowed such thing from hell as DAESH to happen to our contemporaries. Including young and defenceless girls who have pretty much nowhere to run. Like Nadia.

Saundra is the resident know it all. She is a walking encyclopaedia of all this Manchester (the school) and takes Rachel under her wing from day one. As we go through the story we see the dynamics and friendship grow, and get an even deeper look into his life.
