The Makita DUR194 is an 18v LXT cordless line trimmer powered by a single 18v LXT Li-Ion battery (sold separately). This machine can be used with the following cutting tools: 8 tooth Metal blade (ø200mm cutting width), Nylon cutting head (ø2.0mm cord diameter, ø280mm cutting width) & Plastic blade (Three-blade cutter, ø230mm cutting width). It uses a single nylon cord. Press in two latches on both sides of the spool cover and the whole nylon cord cutting head pops off. You lift the spool out, and wind new cord on – it takes a hefty 8 metres, which is twice the amount that fits into more heavy-duty strimmers.
