No matter how I tried, I did not get good results with the whip and the flavour bowl. When I turned the temperature up high enough to get results, I found that it was uncomfortably warm, and at lower temperatures I did not get the extraction I desired. When using the cloud bowl these problems are eliminated, you just need to load a tremendous amount of material into the cloud bowl, which not everyone will want to do.

The heat times are slightly improved over the original Arizer Extreme Q vaporizer but still nowhere near the 30-second heat-up time of the Volcano Hybrid. Does the heat-up time matter in a desktop vaporizer, you ask? I don’t know. Sometimes it does, and sometimes it doesn’t.As customary with Arizer, the XQ2 comes with a flurry of accessories, most of which have been redesigned for better performance and accessibility. The whip attachment, which now swivels, is one of the redesigned parts. The fit of the glass connectors has been improved, allowing for a proper seal when setting up the XQ2. Discreetness On top of its own remote control, the XQ2 also comes with a set of new features. The LED lights communicate a lot, including when the XQ2 is heating up and at set temperature. The XQ2 also comes with two upgraded cyclone bowls dubbed the "glass connoisseur bowls". A large one for massive, cloud ripping hits, and a small one for flavorful microdoses and more control. Fun with lights! I still used the remote most of the time because of the new programmable temperatures . From the programmable remote control you can control the power, fan speed, volume, shut-off timer, and the color show, as well as the full digital temperature scale. But it also has three programmable temperature setting buttons. Set the temperature, hold the temp setting button you want programmed until it beeps, and bingo! It’s now programmed to your set temperature. And you get three of them! Once I landed on my faves, I never used the manual adjustments again. That’s convenient. Use the remote to control the power, fan speed, volume, shut-off timer, and the color show, as well as the full digital temperature scale. Familiar, better build The Bag Components are comprised of the glass adapter, bag mouthpiece, bag clamps and the bag itself. The glass adapter is placed into the cyclone bowl which then serves to fill the bag.

This is where the Volcano Hybrid has an upper hand. Most of its pieces are made of plastic or have a plastic outer shell. While plastic does get warm – it’s far from uncomfortable. It also isn’t too fragile so you won’t have to worry too much. Medical Certification My favourite way to use the XQ2 is with the flavour bowl and a nice coarse grind, I then use the balloon system at somewhere between 400°F-415°F, keeping the fan on low for the entire fill. My second favourite is with the connoisseur bowl filled up with a nice coarse grind, then hitting that with the whip and no fan assist, the terps are absolutely crazy with this method. VAPOUR QUALITY Cut down that wait time! The fan is stronger on the Arizer XQ2 vaporizer, and can fill a bag in two-thirds the time of the Extreme Q. You can't tell from blowing up empty bags - you have to load the bowl to appreciate the stronger fan. The restriction is the same, but the new fan on the XQ2 keeps the airflow consistent, across all fan speeds. XQ2 has a better build

The Arizer XQ2 has a very nice shape, the tasteful curves and lines of the design make the EQ look utilitarian by comparison. It has a vibrant full colour screen on the front and cool coloured LED lights in a ring around the bottom and reflect nicely on a table. The same coloured light also comes up through the glass heater cover at the top. The improved silhouette, screen, and lights all make the XQ2 look very modern. The remote itself has an easy-to-use and understand the layout and allows you to turn the XQ2 on/off, set your desired temperature, choose a color for the LED strip, and turn on the fan. With the onboard controls, you’ll have to press the buttons repeatedly to run through the settings – but with the remote, it’s all just a much faster more streamlined experience. Performance & Vapor Quality The most impressive feature of the new XQ2 is the ballon connector which has an attachable cap. It is a significantly better design than what you get on the EQ, which allows you to seal the vapour in the bag instead of putting your thumb over the bag like in the Extreme Q. Instead of using an essential oil diffuser. Try raw dried sage, chamomile, or even citrus peels, place it into the bowl, turn the temperature, set the fan on low, and let the scent spread throughout the room.
