About this deal

There is also the eco mode setting that saves even more power by shutting off after 30 minutes of inactivity, helping you save money and power if your forget to turn it off. A tower fan's cooling power doesn't just rely on its size—its array of speed settings makes a major difference. Most often, a wider range of speeds makes for a more versatile machine. You can use a tower fan simply to create white noise, add a gentle breeze, or noticeably cool an entire room. Our best for large rooms option, the Dyson Pure Cool Purifying Fan has 10 settings, and even functions as an air purifier. A fan with fewer speeds might not provide you with the same options but offers simple air circulation, like the Lasko Wind Curve Tower Fan, which has three settings. Fast spinning blades get hot as they turn, and after seriously prolonged use you may find your Seville Classics ultraslimline fan blowing heated air your way. Depending on the time of day, these time settings and breaks can become very annoying to deal with. Especially during hot summer afternoons.

The Seville Classic UltraSlimline has a lot of power, and more features than most tower fans in its price point – like a wide oscillation range of 95 degrees, which helps it circulate air efficiently. You can also conserve energy with timer settings that can shut off the unit automatically at intervals between 30 minutes and 7.5 hours. The Holmes HT38RB-U has some good features that give it extra functionality. This tower fan has the second-longest warranty of any fan we tested. The other attribute that matters is total wind distribution — that is, not just how much powerful air is blown in one area, but how much air circulation is being distributed in total across the height and width of the fan. The built-in remote control storage is also a nice space-saving feature. If you need to store or move the fan, it features a built-in carry handle, although we found it to be a bit bulky to be truly portable. Overall, we think this fan is more of a set-it-in-one-spot-and-enjoy option. Also, if the wood-paneled look isn't the right fit for your decor, this fan is also available in silver and grey.At 40-inches tall, you’d think you’re getting a lot of tower fan for the money, but the Pelonis – PFT40A4AGB is proof that taller isn’t better. The primary reason is that its vent is only 18 inches, and the cooling is pushed through the lower half of the vent, meaning only nine inches, and that’s not enough to cool a sizable room. We continue to be impressed with this fan's design after six months of testing and continue to think it's well worth the splurge of you an air purifier and fan combination, with a small footprint. We've used it in a bedroom and found that both the noise and the fan itself it barely noticeable, blending into the space well. While we have found that this fan works well for our use, we have continued to note that this is not the most powerful tower fan that we've tested, and there are more powerful options out there, especially if you are just looking for a basic fan to cool your space on hot days. While it only comes in one color (white) and does not offer a remote, the settings on the fan are easy to use, and the design blends into any room easily. Due to its settings, quiet operation, and compact size, we think it is ideal for a bedroom, nursery, office, or other small room. If you are looking for a fan that is powerful enough for a large living room or family room, this is not the best option, but it's a great affordable choice for small spaces. Dyson’s big selling point for their fans — more properly known as air multipliers (you can find out more about that in our full review of the Dyson – TP01) — is that they’re quieter than other tower or oscillating fans. This is indeed the case; the TP01 measured at 63 dB. However, the Seville’s noise level was slightly more at 68 dB, but there was no audible difference between them.

The Honeywell – HY-280 was the next best oscillating tower fan option after the Seville, with great coverage, solid airflow, and second-best performance in noise levels behind the Dyson AM07. Its low energy usage and overall cost make it a great budget choice overall. Unfortunately, Honeywell has discontinued this terrific fan. Brookstone – Mighty Max (discontinued) Another nice touch that the other two fans we tested for 2023 didn’t have is a built-in handle for effortlessly lifting and moving the fan where you want it to be. The Dreo Nomad is very reasonably priced and is definitely worth your consideration. The compact size of these popular fans makes it easy to place them anywhere in your home without taking up valuable physical space. While the timing function is a necessity, it can be problematic. Technical Specs of a Seville Ultra Slimline FanHowever, we looked at not just speed in one isolated spot — we measured two, one at around two feet off the floor, and another at about four. We chose these positions because based on Google searches, we found that the average chair height when is 18 inches, average torso height when sitting is 39 inches, and average totalheight when sitting averages around 48.4 incheswhen including the size of an average human head. The type of fan you need really depends on three factors: room size, budget and personal preference. Having a clear plan about fan placement is a great way to decide on which type of fan you need. It stands 40″ tall, but the grill only measures 20″ x 2.5″, which definitely decreases the volume of air being pushed through. At the higher speed, the fan measured a good 11.4 mph, but at the top 4″ of the grill, it decreased substantially to 2.2 mph, which could barely be felt a mere two feet away.

Using less KWh units of power can also make the Seville Classics ultraslimline have a cheaper long term cost, and a lower cost per hour compared to other expensive models. Downside of a Seville Tilt Tower Fan Modes & 5 Fan Speeds: Customize your comfort with 5 fan speeds, as well as Auto Mode (hassle-free control), Turbo Mode (rapid cooling), Advanced Sleep Mode (nighttime rest), and Normal Fan Mode (manual control)Touch & Remote Control: The tower fan’s LED display makes information easily visible while the remote control allows you to adjust settings and cool down without getting up

Next, the remote control is powered by a CR2025, which is not included, and the only way to open the remote to install the battery is by unscrewing a tiny screw that only a specialty Philips-head screwdriver could do. (Think one of those screwdrivers in an eyeglass repair kit.) Seville fans are quiet and efficient devices perfect for small bedrooms or offices where space is at a premium or power conservation is important. In addition to the core features, there are some additional features that are nice to have when choosing one of the best tower fans. With quiet operation and high air flow, ultra slimline models can keep you cool all night long, while still being compact and portable in size. With a gusty air speed of 13.2 mph, the Dreo Nomad will keep air circulating on a hot day. It also has a few nice features we haven't seen in other tower fans See Price at Dreo.com See Price at
