Training plates normally only come in 2.5Kg and 5Kg. 2.5Kg Olympic technique discs and 5Kg Olympic Technique discs are the same diameter of a 20Kg or 25Kg IWF weightlifting disc. Handle width between internal colars measures 5 1/2 inches. So approximate loading area is total handle length less handle width (5.5) and divide the answer by 2. e.g. 22" handle less 5.5 = 16.5 divide by 2 gives a loading pin end length of 8 1/4 inch (210mm) per side.
