Cliffjumper crashlands on a remote planet and encounters two young aliens named Kita and Coll, orphans who maintain their family's farm with help from a nearby village. Kita and Coll determine Cliffjumper is friendly and offer him enough synthetic Energon to refuel, and the little red Autobot in turn helps the siblings revitalize their farm. One day, though, a Decepticon unit lands on the planet and threatens Coll; although Cliffjumper manages to kill three of the Decepticons, Kita is fatally injured during the skirmish. Cliffjumper stays with Kita until she dies and destroys the remaining Decepticons in a fit of rage. After burying Kita's body and ensuring Coll is taken in by the village, Cliffjumper steals the Decepticon ship to rejoin the Autobot forces. As reported by The Hollywood Reporterin January 2022, IDW will lose the license to Transformers (as well as G.I. Joe) at the end of 2022. This means there will be no new Transformers comics and collections from the publisher from 2023 onwards. Transformers '84: Secrets & Lies (2020) — Four-issue limited sequel series to the aforementioned one-shot. IDW has done a lot of different types of Transformerscomics, but the ones I am focusing on are the ones that are part of the IDW 2005 continuity. So this means comics such as Regeneration One, Transformers vs. G.I Joe, Marvel/Dreamwave reprints or anything that ties into movies/TV shows are not included. Do I have to read everything? In 2017, a version of the Hearts of Steel story was retroactively folded into the main IDW universe via Revolutionaries; the first two stories listed here are also canon in the ongoing G1 continuity.
