About this deal

Applying Sulphur rose will ensure your roses remain healthy and produce a fabulous display of flowers all summer long. Simply apply to the stems, foliage and surrounding soil. Often, feeding roses more than once a year is recommended, but if your soil is healthy, it is generally only necessary to feed once a year in the spring by sprinkling organic fertiliser around the base of the plants.

Your rose puts tremendous efforts into growing strongly and flowering in large numbers throughout summer and autumn which requires a lot of nutrients from the soil, feeding your roses on a regular basis keeps them strong and healthy and gives them much greater immunity to diseases and health problems. The final bonus is that the foliar feeding of the product will dramatically enhance the growth and the flowering of your roses.

When feeding roses, the first step is always to ensure that you have healthy soil that is rich in organic matter and supports and sustains a wide variety of life, including the microbial life that helps roses and other plants to thrive. Our own native rose varieties are extremely resilient and hardy and can cope with a wide range of soil conditions.Uncle Tom's Rose Tonic contains potassium phosphite fertiliser and is free from additives, wetters and dyes.

Roses, like other plants, are a food source for garden pests which will need to be controlled if the plants are to perform well in the garden. We would recommend spraying from April to October for the best control with 1 application every 1 to 2 weeks, only spray when overcast or early morning or late evening if hot and sunny, never spray your roses in hot direct sunshine from mid morning to late afternoon as this will scorch your leaves and flowers.. Treating Greenfly, Aphids & Pests Roses have a big appetite and if you satisfy the need for food and water, you will get more flowers,” Philip from Harkness Roses says.

This means that they perform best when they are fed at least once a year and mulched well with organic matter after feeding. Mulching roses is, for me at least, the most important stage when it comes to caring for roses and making sure that they have the nutrition they need throughout the year. The fortnightly feed for roses before buds form should be a general-purpose, relatively balanced organic liquid fertiliser, such as compost tea. Our Sulphur Rose formulation is easy and convenient to use, simple sprinkle the Sulphur Rose directly into water, stir and apply We use Uncle Tom’s rose tonic regularly and this helps immensely with flower production.” Feeding Roses Growing In Containers
