About this deal

For that full-throttle, authentic tube-amp sound, BOSS have included their incredible Tube Logic technology in the Katana MKII. Today, my Katana arrived and I immediately plugged in and switched on the amp acoustic channel. Without much trouble I dialed in the sound I wanted on the panel and it is perfect! Built upon reverberating staccato riffs, “Run Like Hell” is a harrowing experience. Learn to capture the song's sound with the BOSS Katana. Read more… Patch Work: “Last Resort” by Papa Roach Katana MkII’s five primary amp characters offer everything from organic vintage tones to modern high-gain sounds, plus a dedicated voice optimized for acoustic-electric guitar. The characters have now been extended with newly voiced variations, providing a wider palette of tone options to craft your personal sound. Five Effects at Once

The BOSS Katana 100 MKII really surprised me with this feature, and while I knew about it for a while, I had no idea how important this feature would become. I have a couple of different global EQ settings saved, because this can drastically change the way the amp reacts. But with that being said, this is how I like to use the global EQ setting: I think this is because all of the magic is happening behind the scenes. Between the global EQ and power amp, you have full control already over how the amp sounds. Usually having this much control can be confusing. But this leads us to the other reason I think the Katana really hit the mark.lbs 11 oz * 0 dBu = 0.775 Vrms *The specifications are subject to change without notice. Katana MkII Version 2 BOSS Katana—Sharper Than Ever Further enhance the capabilities of your favourite BOSS Katana MKII with a host of new features available in the FREE Version 2.0 software update. Another upgrade for the Katana MKII is the ability to now run a massive FIVE (yes, 5) effects categories at the same time, essentially giving you a decent-sized on-board pedalboard to play with. One Katana MkII sounds great, but playing two at once is even better. The new Stereo Expand feature makes linking two amps simple, with just one regular cable needed. You’re able to control everything from the master Katana MkII, with stereo-compatible effects like chorus, delay, reverb, and others distributed across both amps for a wide, immersive sound field. Stereo Expand is supported on all 100-watt Katana MkII models. Ready-to-Mix Direct Tones

For optimal performance, stay up to da CONTROL PANEL Guitar input; five-way amp type selector with variation button, gain, volume; bass, middle, treble; booster, mod, FX, delay and reverb controls with variation buttons and tap tempo; master volume, output power (100W, 50W, 0.5W, standby), preset buttons (four plus bypass), power switch Stereo Expand— You can fill every side of a stage with breathtaking stereo effects using the Katana's built-in Stereo Expand link. Simple primary/secondary operation by way of a single guitar cable makes setup a breeze. In this mode, you can access choruses that envelop the listener in a swath of oceany motion, delays that ping-pong from ear to ear, and reverbs that descend like a cloud upon a room. I have yet to do a full song with the BOSS Katana 100 MKII, but I do use it for solos and overdubs all the time. While it works great for this using just the panel settings, it is even better when you turn up the midrange and bass in the “Global EQ” setting. You can get some seriously heavy tones that amp sims and processors just can’t do…at least to my ears. So try putting a mic in front of your Katana sometime if you can! If you're unfamiliar with the Katana'samp types, thisimmensely versatile combooffers fiveprimary amp sounds that cover everything from organic vintage clean tones to modernhigh-gain onslaught. There's even adedicated voice that's optimised for electro-acousticguitars!And with Boss' Tube Logic technology, the Katana 100 MkII Head delivers the convincingfeel and harmonic content of genuine tube amplifiers. Diverse Built-In EffectsA lot of effects and amp modes with endless possibilities for different tones, which allow trying new sounds, especially useful for beginners.

There are tons of options for the Katana once you get set up in the Tone Studio app. The global EQ option just stands out more than others to me, because I have never been able to “fine tune” my amplifier. Some of my patches sound pretty bad when you play them alone, but that’s because they are meant to fit in a mix. So it has been a little over a year with the BOSS Katana, how do I feel about it now? Let’s dive into this unique review!

GA-FC foot controller opsional menyediakan kontrol amp penuh, termasuk memilih Tone Setting, menyalakan/matikan efek, kontrol pedal expression, dan lainnya The choice to make the BOSS Katana 100 MKII, and the series as a whole, a Class A/B amp has more impact than you would think. Most modeling amps use Class D because it is easy, and some would say that solid state amps don’t really benefit from having a different power section. But the power section IS an important factor.
