Your recipe label or gift tags should offer simple instructions on adding the necessary wet ingredients to this jar of dry ingredients, as needed to make the recipe. I use regular size semi-sweet chocolate chips for this recipe. But you could replace them with dark chocolate chips, white chocolate chips, dried cranberries, nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts) or even do a mix half and half (half white chocolate chip and half dried cranberries), this recipe is very easy to customize according the flavors you like. Be creative and have fun, always!

Using his love for baking he began to pre weigh ingredients to make delicious simple cakes to bake together as a fun family activity. Servings Using my recipes below, layer the dry ingredients into jars. The gift recipient is responsible for adding the wet ingredients. I like layering the dry ingredients into the jars in a thoughtful way so each layer stands out. Dark (cocoa powder), light (sugar), dark (brown sugar), light (flour + baking soda + salt), and so on. Use a spoon to layer or, if you’re particular like I am, use a funnelso the layers are extra neat. Of course, you could easily mix everything, but if you do layer, keep in mind, the chunks, pieces, raisins and even nuts need to be on top.
