Nutriprem 2 is a special milk for the dietary management of preterm and low birth weight infants. It is a post discharge formula that is normally used until a baby reaches six months corrected age. However, as this is a food for special medical purposes and only available on prescription, your GP or consultant will make a clinical decision as to when the milk should be stopped, depending on the individual circumstances. Unfortunately when she was in hospital we fed her aptamil but I had bought cow and gate at home without realising but we didn't think much of it and just fed her that when we came out of hospital about 3 days after. I’m not sure if she is just getting used to the carobel or if she was going to get diarrhoea anyway but is being made worse with it being in the comfort milk which is for constipation.
