Description

Converting models or buying components to customise your models can be difficult with Warhammer 40,000, as many armies are designed in ways that make them completely unlike anything available out there on the market.

Lord Solar Leontus (and Konstantin) feature on the cover of the forthcoming Codex Astra Militarum, which will be available first in the Cadia Stands: Astra Militarum Army Set. The Psychic Awakening: The Greater Good supplement gifted the Guard new Tank Ace upgrades to beef up your key vehicles, as well as rules for creating your own custom Regimental Doctrines. And the Imperial Armour Compendium, whilst mainly focusing on Forge World models, has plenty of rules that can be used in conjunction with your Astra Militarum force. For example, if you’re looking at building a Death Korps of Krieg army then the included Regimental Doctrine for them is well worth paying attention to.Ok so the Hammer of the Emperor stayed the same and adds 6″ if a leadership test is passed based as long as it is within 6″ of an officer or… 12″ with a vox Overcharge Lascells: Costs 2 CP. Use in the shooting phase on a Kasrkin or Scions unit. Each time that unit makes an unmodified wound roll of a 6 with a Hotshot weapon, it inflicts 1 mortal wound in addition to normal damage. Can do 6 mortal wounds max. These codex rules were made obsolete when 10th Edition launched in June 2023 – but it’s both useful and entertaining to see how key 40k armies used to work, so…

This is pretty sweet! While it keeps the feel of the old one, it updates it to the new edition! Plus, if you look hard enough in the picture at the top, you can see the scout sentinel there! RUMORS: New Imperial Guard Kasrkin, Weapon Teams & More Models SPOTTED! The new tank is called the Praetorian (aka Rogal Dorn) and it will feature twin battle cannons that can be replaced with an even bigger gun. Not to be left out, this exciting new Kill Team set will include exclusive terrain pieces designed to spice up your games of skirmish combat. The stream also mentioned that the new Kasrkin’s 40k rules function a bit differently than regular Guardsmen. As fitting their veteran status, the Kasrkin are capable of using not one, but TWO Regimental Doctrines. Of course, you can’t throw bodies into the mincer, but you can (and indeed must) take a fair amount of casualties without wincing too much.and just for context, my first and only army is IG and I SPECIFICALLY chose them because they WERE just regular humans in a universe of acid spitting nuke surviving super-soldiers, unending tides of near perfect biological war machines, ancient races of hyper advanced aliens and literal actual Demons! Expansions for Warhammer 40,000 provide alternative ways to play the game. Rules in expansions remain valid unless superseded by a newer publication.

The imposing Commissar character unit is an iconof the Imperial Guard army, and it’s fitting that it get its own, slightly upsized redesign, in line with the Cadian infantry units. Now that the 9th edition codex is in the wild, all Imperial Guard legacy rules are no longer legal for current edition play– but you can still use some of them in games at home, should you wish.Supposedly it will also be less than 18 Wounds, so it can still be obscured. With Toughness 9, this will be much harder to kill than normal tanks. Being able to change your secondaries based on your opponent is pretty sweet actually, and if you already like your choices, you just get a command point for free!
