About this deal

Crevice Tool is a long and narrow cleaning tool intended for vacuuming corners, edges, crevices, and similar surfaces.

The first thing to remember is that the type of floor affects the best stair vacuum. If you have carpeted stairs, you’ll need a powered brush bar to dig deep into the fibres. This is especially important if you have pets.

Like the Gtech AirRam, the Multi Mk2 is built to a high-standard and looks great. It’s designed to be easy to use, with a simple emptying system and a washable filter. There’s even a headlight for illuminating dirt and dust – something which we found really useful during our review. Make sure the vac is securely positioned on the stairs. Keep hold of it with one hand to stop it from toppling over, and always keep it below you. It’s not the most powerful vacuum on this list, but we found it performs well on most flooring types. We did find that it struggles on deep pile carpet though, which is something to keep in mind if you have a lot of this flooring in your home.

Real Simple / Dera Burreson Questions You Might Ask What’s the most efficient way to vacuum stairs? It is recommended by Shark to rinse the foam and felt filter every month and to replace them after 2.5 years and to rinse the HEPA air filter every 6 months and to replace it after 3 years. As we mentioned when talking about the Vax Air Lift, a removable canister can make cleaning stairs much easier. Assuming the canister is relatively light, a vacuum becomes much more manoeuvrable when the canister can be held separately. You can change between multiple cleaning modes with this device, and we also like that hair rarely gets tangled in the brushroll. That said, the vacuum’s dustbin is very small, and it’s also pretty loud when in action (despite having a quiet mode that disables automatic emptying). Unit is rated at 600 Watts (5 Amps) and comes with 30 feet (~9.15m) long power cord. When compared with larger and heavier upright vacuums that are rated at 1300-1400 Watts, Shark HZ3002 Stratos's 600 Watts don't sound much, but the vacuum cleaner creates excellent suction across its 8.25 inches (~21 cm) wide cleaning path.Another vacuum cleaner with this feature is the excellent Shark NV681UKT. It’s an expensive vacuum, but has strong filtration, powerful suction and an easy-to-steer design. The brush bar is also powered even when the canister has been detached, so it’s effective at cleaning both carpeted and hardwood stairs. The Shark brand has long been synonymous with high-quality vacuums, and this model is no different. We love that the NV360 has a lift-away component that makes it easier to clean stairs and other hard-to-reach places. Unless you enjoy lugging a heavy upright upstairs, we think you will, too.
