In the past using a soft ball would've meant compromising on distance but this is not really the case anymore because of technology. Without getting too technical, the Srixon Soft Feel is a low-compression golf ball, having a compression of 60, meaning that it, should help those players with lower swing speeds get the ball speed that they need.

From a performance perspective, Tour Speed trends toward lower-spinning. That’s common for balls playing in the same space. While not among the lowest-compression balls in its space, at around 78 compression, it’s soft by Titleist urethane standards. I know. We’ve all come to expect that newer is longer. Newer spin more. Newer almost always feels softer so “ newer is the same” isn’t much of a sales pitch but let’s look at it from Titleist’s perspective. Some golf brands measure compression of the core only and others will state compression for the entire ball. Either option is fine as long as you understand what you are reading. We prefer to see the compression values for the entire ball because it reflects more real life situations.
