About this deal

For example, if your telescope has a 1000mm focal length and you are using a 25mm eyepiece, the magnification would be 1000mm ÷ 25 = 40. Reflectors are best at observing large deep-sky objects, such as Messier objects, nebulae, and galaxies. Larger telescopes are more “sensitive” to atmospheric turbulence – you really need a steady seeing to make the most of them.

Good product, good serviceAfter a week time and skies have been limited but had good views of Jupiter and moons and Saturn's rings. The scope, mount and tripod are compact and light. The app looks exciting. See Astroblender on YouT for review of similar. The manual is ok but Harrisons helped with setup online. Great service. (25/07/2021) Alan Gerrard - Sheffield It also works exceptionally well for astrophotographyand the magnification can be pushed up to 50% higher than the manual recommends. StarSense Explorer uses patent-pending technology and your smartphone to determine exactly where the telescope is pointed in the night sky. A Lost in Space Algorithm (LISA), like the ones satellites use in orbit to correctly orient themselves, helps the app match star patterns it detects overhead to its internal database. The same two eyepieces are coming with this scope as well, so please buy at least the cheap aspherical eyepieces.Deep-Space Objects– Reflector telescopes tend to work better for deep-space objects because they have higher apertures and don’t suffer from any chromatic aberration. However, upper mid-range or high-end refractors are mostly apochromatic now, meaning they account for the halo effect caused by chromatic aberration, so either will work! Planets and Moons Brilliant piece of kitBrilliant piece of kit, most impressed with the standam having trouble setting up the starsence app but i haven't had a clear night to sort it, although i have managed to view the rings of saturn and jupitar and its 4 moons, you cant beat the price of the scope and delivery was very fast, thank you (25/09/2022) Michael Williams - Brecon powys We found the Explore Scientific FirstLight AR102 EXOS Refractor Telescope easy to use and were amazed at the fabulous views we got of the moon, planets, star clusters, and deep-sky objects. Celestron NexStar 6 SE Telescope Portability and serious performance come together in the NexStar 6 SE. Celestron’s first new Schmidt-Cassegrain optical system in over a decade is now available in a high performance altazimuth computerized telescope. With a total weight of 30 pounds including the tripod, the ultra portable 6 SE features a precision optical system with 1500mm focal length (f10) and offers 44% more light gathering than a 5-inch telescope.

Celestron 6-Inch Advanced VX Refractor Telescope - Black

What’s special about it: Very compact when disassembled, great portability for that telescope size, extremely powerful telescope, made for DSO observing. The most critical question to ask yourself when choosing a telescope is, “what do I want to observe with it?” There are hundreds of different models with a variety of various features to choose from, each catering to different needs and expectations. What you’ll need depends on what you’re looking to observe! Deep-Space Objects (DSOs) The Astro Fi 6 inch is the largest computerized alt-azimuth Schmidt Cassegrain telescope in the range, perfect for terrestrial and celestial viewing on the go. The Astro Fi offers dazzling views of craters on the Moon, the rings of Saturn, the Great Red Spot on Jupiter, the Orion Nebula, the Hercules Globular Cluster and so much more at night. Forget about batteries or an external power supply. For the first time ever on a consumer telescope, NexStar Evolution includes its own built-in battery. With this ultra-long life lithium-iron phosphate battery, you’ll be able to enjoy stargazing marathons up to 10 hours on a single charge. You can even use NexStar Evolution’s USB charge port to top off the other devices in your life that need to stay powered on during an observing session. An intelligent power management system senses when battery levels are low and goes into power-saving mode to keep your telescope running for as long as possible. The Explore Scientific FirstLight is a top refractor telescope and comes with a high quality glass 4” aperture with a 25mm Plossl eyepiece. Explore the Universe and control your NexStar Evolution telescope with the free Celestron SkyPortal app for iOS and Android! The Meade reflector telescope comes with 3 eyepieces that provide a choice of low (26mm), medium (9mm), and a high (6,3mm) powered magnification. We successfully viewed craters on the Moon and observed planets and star clusters. The Astro Fi comes with a 6 inch optical tube, a great multi-use telescope with 1500 mm focal length (f/10). The Celestron C6 is equipped with patented StarBright® XLT coatings which visibly increase contrast on subtle lunar, planetary, and nebula details and higher light transmission for brighter deep space images and shorter exposure times. For this application, observers can use the C6 Celestron optical tube to view the night sky or as a terrestrial spotting scope. The Celestron C6 has the best balance of portability, handling ease, light grasp and price ever offered to the amateur astronomer. It is an advanced level instrument that is as easy to use as any intermediate level, and most entry level, telescopes.
