About this deal

For use as a barrier and moisturiser for the symptomatic relief of dermatitis, ichthyosis, eczema, nappy rash, protection of dry skin areas, pruritus and related skin conditions where dry scaly skin is a problem. It can be used as a pre-bathing emollient or as an alternative to soap to alleviate drying effects. Adverse reactions: Gel formulas vary from creams and they tend to be better at moisturising the skin, although it can take longer for them to absorb into the skin. Gels also contain less oil than creams so, using an emollient gel instead of soap can help to improve dry skin. Adults and the elderly: Apply pea sized amounts to clean and dry skin, gently spreading the cream evenly to form a thin protective barrier to cover the affected area. Children: Seek HCP advice before use. Date of preparation:

There are no absolute contraindications to the use of the cream other than hypersensitivity to any of the ingredients. 4.4 Special warnings and precautions for useBeauty Advent calendars are significantly pricier than chocolate ones, but they've become increasingly popular in the last few years as a way of bagging beauty products at a fraction of the normal cost. They often sell out early, but can also be heavily discounted later if they don't, so here's a round-up of some of the best I’ve seen. The famous or maybe rather infamous mineral oil. The clear oily liquid that is the "cheap by-product" of refining crude oil and the one that gets a lot of heat for its poor provenance. It is a very controversial ingredient with pros and cons and plenty of mythsaround it. So let us see them: Skin creams, sometimes known as emollients are used by many people every day to help manage different dry skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis and ichthyosis. The pros of mineral oilcan be interpreted as cons if we look at them from another perspective. Not penetrating the skin but mostly just sitting on top of it and not containing biologically active components, like nice fatty acids and vitamins meanthat mineral oil does not "nourish" the skin in the way plant oils do. Mineral oil doesnot give the skin any extra goodness, it is simply a non-irritating moisturizer working mainly by occlusivity. An extremely common multitasker ingredient that gives your skin a nice soft feel (emollient) and gives body to creams and lotions. It also helps to stabilize oil-water mixes (emulsions), though it does not function as an emulsifier in itself. Its typical use level in most cream type formulas is 2-3%.

Children under 1: Seek HCP advice before use. Adults: Add 20ml to a standard bath of warm water (8 inches deep). Infants and Children: Add 5ml to a small bath (25 litres) or washbasin of warm water. Immerse and cover the affected areas and soak for 10-20 minutes. Alternatively, gently sponge over the affected areas repeatedly. Pat dry with a towel. Date of preparation:It’s a good idea to use a soap substitute. A small amount of cream is put on the skin and washed off. The skin will feel less dry and irritated with this method. It is possible to use it on the body. Can Hydromol irritate skin?
