A Porta Potti consists of two sections; a combined upper flush-water tank and toilet bowl with detachable seat and cover and a lower waste-holding tank. The two-parts are easy to attach and detach using the clasp at the rear of the toilet. These tanks come in various sizes which dictate the standing height of the toilet; the larger the tanks the taller the toilet. Some waste holding tanks have an integrated level indicator that that turns red when it's time to empty. Someone also suggested a Porta Potti cover which I have repeated here which seems good for travelling and an additional seat for guests!! Haha! It is supplied with a “hold- down”kit which is not well designed. The catch engages only weakly. There is no reason why the lip on the catch could not have been made a bit bigger so that it clipped in more firmly. Also, the clamps have to be installed in exactly the right place - there is only 1 or 2 mm tolerance.
