Why is Anker SoundCore P3i better than the average?
The real annoyance is that you can't turn them off. The battery life is great. But you have to have the charging case with you and put them in and close the lid for it to "turn off" and disconnect from the phone. Maybe not a huge deal, but if you take them off and put them on the side table for a second and then your kid comes in and wants to watch a game on TV with you and next thing you know it is 4 hours later and they are discharged, it is an annoyance. Water resistance is IPX5 so maybe I shouldn’t wear them while washing my face or showering — but I do and haven’t had any issues. It only took about a day to get used to the controls. They are simple enough, but are one, two or three presses on one or the other earbuds. Nicer than others where it is often a combination of long and short presses. And, it is good at detecting the difference between one and two presses (unlike the ones that do short/long press). My only real quibble, and mostly because I listen to podcasts primarily, is that it is one press to raise the volume and two to pause. Given the bluetooth range, I've got the phone on my when using these, and use the phone buttons to control the volume, and wish it were one press to pause for when people start to talk to me.
