Some may judge that someone like David Attenborough was born into privilege which gave him an unfair advantage.

Meet Emmeline Pankhurst, an inspiring women's rights activist who changed the world for future generations of women. Put children’s knowledge to the test with this fun and easy to use PowerPoint which is filled with trivia on the climate change activist and broadcasting legend. If you’d like even more activities like this, you can browse our full collection of David Attenborough resources here. What's superb is there is just enough to enable a child to become curious yet not enough to overwhelm, which is crucial at this stage in their reading career, and the colourful, fun illustrations complement the text perfectly. This moving book features stylish and quirky illustrations and extra facts at the back, including a biographical timeline with historical photos and a detailed profile of the broadcaster's life. You can use these books in your lessons to teach children about different famous figures throughout history.

David's distinctive voice and storytelling abilities have captivated audiences of all ages, making complex scientific concepts accessible and exciting. With its familiar style of simple illustrations and short accessible text, we learn about Attenborough's childhood and what inspired his love of the natural world. These resources have been made in partnership with the Little People, Big Dreams team which is part of the Lit in Colour book list.

This lovely little book details the story of David Attenborough's life and all the important work he has done. Falar do ambiente e da consciencialização para a proteção do nosso planeta é, sem dúvida, falar de Sir David Attenborough. This is a book I will certainly consider for use in the classroom, perhaps with our eco-council and when learning about different parts of the natural world using clips from Attenborough documentaries. As a child, he spent hours in the science library, collating his own specimens and creating a mini animal museum.
