Minitons: Spamton's face expands and releases several miniature copies of himself that run along the top and bottom parts of the box. When enraged, this attack has a random angle deviation for the bullets, and the heart has more health to accommodate for the increased damage output from the SOUL. It is implied that the Lightner whose hopes and dreams became the machine used in Spamton's NEO form is Mettaton.
If the SOUL takes damage against the standard version of this attack, all subsequent times the attack is used, the phones launch waves from them and move up and down the board, regardless of the Spamton head's position.Spamton replaces almost all instances of "desu" (です) and "dai" (だい) with the English words "death" and "die," rendered in Roman text. Spamton NEO's boss theme "BIG SHOT" shares many similar music cues from Metallic Madness (Present) from Sonic CD. after being violently defeated by Kris, Susie, and Ralsei could be a reference to the SpongeBob SquarePants theme song, whose first line ("Are you ready, kids? This is a reference to the YouTube Poop [YTP] The King Downloads Sony Vegas in which King Harkinian from Link: The Faces of Evil runs a keygen for Sony Vegas, at which point he begins rapidly flashing colours, albeit much more violently than Spamton.
This mental instability seems to clear up briefly after fighting him in his NEO form, as he wishes Kris success with their journey without using broken English.
Selecting OUR DEAL again when the party already has the KeyGen makes Spamton's face flash a rainbow hue, and the usual background music is replaced with "KEYGEN. Spamton hangs from vines after being defeated on the normal route, like how Flowey ensnared the main characters at the end of True Pacifist. From the second time and on, the copies of Spamton's head come from multiple directions, while Spamton NEO also fires large bullets with his arm cannon.
