About this deal
In addition, the FC12, along with all Wurkkos offerings, includes a 1 year warranty against manufacturer defects. The light comes with a non deep carry pocket clip on it and a Wurkkos branded 3000mAh 18650 battery inside. The lights electronic switch flashes fairly bright red while charging and then goes solid green when charged.
Inside the head, however, you get a long very smooth reflector that puts a rather distinct hotspot in your beam. The light is an 18650 powered host, and the factory provided (but optional) battery is a button top with 3000mAh. It looks like the FC12 is less floodly than the FC11 , but I cant tell if thats because it actually has less flood (which isnt exactly desirable), or if it just looks like that because it's modes are just more powerful.Anduril is one of the only name brand (if you will) flashlight control systems you are going to come across. Just one thing could make this flashlight better: please wurkkos - give us the TS11 and FC13 power-button! The FC11 uses a FET driver, which does not regulate power other than by blinking the LED thousands of times per second (PWM). A fully functional Tactical light that over-delivers in some areas, but falls just a little short of what you’d expect in other areas. The head can be taken apart relatively easily - Some traces of glue were observed in the threads, but I managed to crack it open without any special tools.
There’s very little need for the full bore output on this light, so lowering it only makes it easier to use for those not used to flashlights that could melt/burn things. Turbo is listed at 1300 lumens and started to step down at about 75 seconds and was fully decreased to right about 25% relative output by 90 seconds. It’s not too heavy, but it is heavy and at it feels dense because the light is really packed into a small package overall.
Knurling or a blasted finish on the aluminum would make it infinitely more grippy, but as it stands, it is still very easy to hold. Thanks for your answer, Brian, but I don’t think I was clear, proven by the fact that you think this lamp has Anduril. A magnet is in the tailcap, and this magnet is adequate strength for holding even in a horizontal position. The clip only attaches on one end of the tube but the tube is reversible so you could mount it at the front if desired.
