Why you can trust TechRadar We spend hours testing every product or service we review, so you can be sure you’re buying the best. Find out more about how we test. If you really want to boost what's available to watch on your new TV, you may want to consider a VPN. For example, the best VPN for Netflix will grant you access to the catalogues of any country in the world, like the US, Japan or Australia. These countries have different shows, meaning greater variety of choices for you. Do smart TVs need to be connected to the internet? Prices vary between brands, but even the best 32-inch TVs are cheaper than even the most basic, entry-level 4K tellies. Prices can also vary depending on what features you're looking for. Freeview Play is a service that combines on-demand and catch-up television streaming into one place. This allows you to browse to see what programmes are coming up. You can watch live TV and also catch up on shows from the previous week.

Smarter than ever before

The LK3C Series is Toshiba UK’s most basic line of 2023 TV. It comes in two sizes, 32-inch and 43-inch, and is a 1080p HD line, not a 4K one. It does come with smarts courtesy of Toshiba itself with its own OS that’ll let you stream whatever content you’d like across a plethora of different services. Plus, you can even watch TikToks on your LK3C TV. A watch of His Dark Materials on iPlayer in the Smart mode showed that, while the audio will do a job for casual TV watchers, it could be improved upon. You may come across 'HDR' - this stands for High Dynamic Range. A TV with HDR simply means the screen itself is capable of displaying more colours than a regular set. So, you can expect rich vibrant images and better contrast.

Other than the price, there are only a few really crucial things you need to consider when you're shopping for a 32-inch TV. The first is resolution, which is how many dots – pixels – the screen is made of. The more dots, the better the picture. At this size you'll see models described as HD or Full HD. The latter is better. HD resolution is the same as a DVD disc, so the screen has 720 rows of pixels from top to bottom. Full HD has 1,080. That means more detail, especially if you're sitting fairly close to the TV. We're all about keeping things simple regarding small televisions; more often than not, they just need to sit in a corner and work. That said, unless you're tempted by one of the best 50-inch TVs instead, there are still choices to make. We've compiled a guide and answered some of your questions to help you choose. Not used in ga.js. Set for interoperability with urchin.js. Historically, this cookie operated in conjunction with the __utmb cookie to determine whether the user was in a new session/visit. Watching Netflix’s The Good Place to see how the TV dealt with brighter content and the contrast was similarly okay. A shot of the sky showed some definition, while other shots had a grey tinge in the corners of the screen. The TV measures at 732 x 78 x 439mm without the stand, or 732 x 189 x 472mm with it, weighing 7kg to make it slim and lightweight.

Picture performance is decent for the price, too, with consistently lit pictures and generally smooth motion from HD/SDR sources. Toshiba Smart TV equipped with ADS panel (similar to IPS Panel), is latest in display panel technology. It offers better colour reproduction, greater colour accuracy across wider viewing angles and has a longer lifespan compared to conventional VA panel. Generally speaking, the viewing distance between you and your TV should be at least 1.5 times the diagonal screen size of the TV. So if you have a TV that's 55-inches, then the minimum viewing distance needs to be 82-inches, around 6.8 feet. If you’re searching for a cheap HD TV with a handful of smart features, allow me to introduce you to the Toshiba WK3C.

We still test 32-inch TVs the same way we test anything else, though – we're looking for rich contrast, realistic colors, and user-friendly smart TV software with all the key services on. We just obviously expect a different level of performance from these much cheaper TVs compared to more expensive models, and we take their price and size into account when judging them. When looking for a truly great TV, simplicity is sometimes bliss - but can the best 32-inch TVs compete? After all, the latest and greatest TVs have 80-inch screens and offer monstrous resolutions, AI processing, and more speakers inside than your local hi-fi shop. But why do you actually need all of that for casual watching in smaller rooms? Spoiler: you don't. The WK3C is an upgraded version of Toshiba’s WK3A TV, promising better audio and image quality without sacrificing the WK3A’s budget-friendly price tag. You'll see the acronym QLED on a lot of TV sets in general, especially ones from Samsung. QLED is a modern TV technology that's designed to deliver brighter, more colorful pictures – it's a big step up over the non-QLED options you get among 32-inch TVs. Used to determine a user's inclusion in an experiment and the expiry of experiments a user has been included in. This is a modern set with competitive features for the budget side of the TV market in 2023, more so than the V35 Series at any rate, so if you’re looking for a set you can use to stream all the 4K/HDR content you can imagine without spending an arm and a leg, the C350 Series from Toshiba can get you there. A 32-inch TV is a great size TV for a kitchen or bedroom. However, you may want something a little bigger for your lounge. Especially if your lounge is large or you're entertaining a big group of guests or family. Do smaller TVs have better image quality?
